Come along with me, and let’s head out to see what this new Disney Adventure Cruise is all about — and whether it’s worth going!

If you told 10-year-old me that she would be on a media preview sailing on the world’s largest Disney ship, she’d probably scream her head off. Fast-forward 20 years, and I’m still screaming my head off (don’t judge).
But they say if you dream a thing more than once, it’s sure to come true — and that’s how I ended up on the new Disney Adventure Cruise. (Just kidding, I had to beg my boss for months)!

Having officially begun its maiden voyage on 10 March 2026, the cruise will be homeported in Singapore for at least five years!
Featuring fairytale character meet-and-greets, the longest rollercoaster at sea, and Broadway-style shows, here’s a full review of what I experienced. Read on to find out if it’s ultimately worth going on the cruise 🤫
Pre-boarding Essentials

First things first, here’s what to prep before actually stepping into a whole new world.
1) Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App (iOS / Android) — to book activities, manage reservations, view daily events and dining options!
2) Check in online on the app — at least 3 days in advance, you’ll also need to fill out a health declaration form here before boarding.
3) Pre-book certain activities — as early as 75 days in advance via the Disney Cruise Line website or the Navigator App.
*Pro-tip: Be sure to check the Navigator App regularly throughout the voyage, as it’ll be constantly updated with new events and activities!
Themed Areas (Ranked)
Disclaimer: This is purely ranked according to my own opinion, but it was truly a tough decision 😭
1) Disney Imagination Garden

Can you guess which princesses we were?
Call me old school, but the Disney Imagination Garden was undoubtedly my favourite themed area on the Disney Adventure Cruise. Seeing Fantasia Mickey with a backdrop of the iconic Disney Castle honestly made me tear up a little.

The garden has a courtyard fit for a princess (or four), and an open stage for various live performances with Disney and Marvel characters.
On embarkation day, we even had a special show of Let’s Set Sail, where we saw OG Mickey and friends, Belle, Elsa, and even Ms. Marvel!
But what touched me the most was hearing the cruise honking to When You Wish Upon a Star, and that’s when I knew… dreams do come true.
2) Marvel Landing

Marvel Landing is based on the world’s mightiest heroes…. the Avengers! Located on the ship’s top deck, this area has three fun attractions, including the first rollercoaster aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship 🎢
Spanning over 250m long, the Ironcycle Test Run is also the world’s longest rollercoaster at sea. While we didn’t get the chance to ride it during the preview sailing, the screams we heard from lucky ride-goers sounded like they had a great time 🥹
You’ll get to go twice around the ship on the coaster, and hearsay you can even control your own speed!

There’s also Groot Galaxy Spin, and Pym Quantum Racers — the former is where you’ll hop into spinning flying vehicles, while the latter “miniaturises” you to ride supersized toy cars around a track. We had so much fun, we rode the Groot Galaxy Spin twice!
Besides the attractions, keep a lookout for character murals from Iron Man, Fantastic 4, and Guardians of the Galaxy to snap photos with.
*Note: The rollercoaster seems to still be in the testing phases and may or may not be available on your cruise. Do check with the crew onboard.
3) San Fransokyo Street

Inspired by the beloved Big Hero 6 film, San Fransokyo Street blends Tokyo’s neon lights with San Francisco’s vibrant city vibes. The extra twist? It’s been transformed into a 24-hour gaming arcade on the cruise!

We had a bah-a-la-la-last trying out all the different arcade games.
There was one similar to Fruit Ninja, and another team game which tested our memory, reflexes and teamwork. After which, I desperately needed a personal healthcare companion like Baymax, because it was exhausting for someone who doesn’t exercise much 👀

For the tweens and teens, the Edge and Vibe rooms have games like ping pong, Switch, Jenga, UNO and Disney Hedbanz — where you take turns guessing the Disney character stuck on your forehead.
Don’t forget to catch epic Disney movies at the Baymax Cinemas, with several screening timings throughout the day for shows like Zootopia 2, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and of course, Big Hero 6!
4) Town Square

This is the it place for a royal gathering — from OG princesses like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Jasmine, to newer ones like Rapunzel and Tiana.
One of my most beloved spots is the Royal Lounge, which has a grand ceiling filled with beautiful princess murals. This area is also home to fairytale-themed restaurants like Enchanted Summer (Frozen) and Spellbound (Snow White).

Visit places like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Marvel Style Studio with costume rentals and makeup professionals — where your young ones can pretend to be a princess or prince, or the whole family can suit up as a superhero.
The highlight here though, is the Walt Disney Theatre, where the magic comes alive with various Broadway-style shows that had us bawling once the music started.
5) Disney Discovery Reef

The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo are some classic Disney films that will always have a special place in my heart — not to mention, they have great soundtracks too.
We spotted some of our favourite fish friends swimming among the colourful corals at Disney Discovery Reef, and took many, many photos for the memories.

Besides being a photo spot, there are various shops and restaurants here inspired by other films like Lilo & Stitch and Luca.
6) Toy Story Place

While the water attractions at Toy Story Place are mostly for kids, I’m glad to announce that adults can go on Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides! So here’s a PSA to bring your swimsuits 🩱
But if that’s too thrilling for you, take a dip in the various whirlpool spas for a quick recharge. There are also two mega screens showing Disney films to watch with the family.
We didn’t have time to try the attractions here due to limited time, but I already have it bookmarked for my next cruise!
7) Wayfinder Bay

See the line where the sky meets the sea? That’s the horizon, and you can catch a great view of it at Wayfinder Bay!
The Moana-themed open-air deck has a pool for soaking in, and plenty of seats to lounge on under the blue skies. Here, we also caught the Moana: Call of the Sea live show (from our room)!
At night, the venue transforms into a cosy live performance stage, where we jammed to hits of the 2000s to 2010s.
Live Entertainment (Top 5)
There are several live shows onboard the Disney Adventure Cruise. Some of them are pre-assigned to you via the Navigator App (which means you can’t choose the shows yourselves), while others have various timings throughout the day. Here are my top five (spoiler alert):
1) Remember [NEW]

Who says robots don’t have feelings? Remember is a brand new live performance exclusively for the Disney Adventure Cruise, and centres on the love story between WALL-E and EVE. The latter has unfortunately lost all her memories, and to get it back, WALL-E plays her favourite Disney songs.
I swore I wouldn’t cry, but when faced with full-on musical numbers of iconic Disney tunes, plus appearances by characters from Aladdin, Coco and more, the tears just wouldn’t stop.
Location: Walt Disney Theatre
Show timing: Pre-assigned on the Navigator App
2) The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky [NEW]

Fun fact: Disney is the only cruise line in the world that offers fireworks at sea!
On the Disney Adventure, expect a dazzling fireworks show paired with the epic The Lion King soundtrack, featuring a narration by celebrity Shah Rukh Khan.
We belted out songs like Circle of Life, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, and He Lives in You — all with a grand backdrop.
I can’t really tell you where the best spots are, as it really depends on the wind direction. But one tip is to find somewhere with no obstructions (aka the rollercoaster track).
Location: Top Deck
Show timing: Check the Navigator App, happens only once throughout the entire voyage
3) Avengers Assemble

It’s superheroes vs. villains in this epic showdown of good and evil. We had our heads turning left, right and even upwards with characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Scarlett Witch and Loki popping up from every corner.
Featuring ziplines, special effects and explosions — I felt like I was in the middle of all that action, pulled into the Marvel universe. Plus, keep a lookout for one of the greatest entrances by THE antihero, Deadpool!
Location: Disney Imagination Garden
Show timing: Check the Navigator App
4) Disney Seas the Adventure

Join Goofy as he navigates somewhere beyond the sea, crossing over into some of Disney’s most iconic films like Frozen, Tangled and Hercules!
We sang along to all the musical performances, and were kept on the edges of our seats — wondering which “surprise” guest would appear next.
Location: Walt Disney Theatre
Show timing: Pre-assigned on the Navigator App
5) Moana: Call of the Sea

If you need a short 30-minute recap of the entire Moana film, this is it. Presented live-action musical-style, follow Moana as she goes on a journey of self-discovery and friendship, accompanied by beloved characters like Maui, Tamatoa and even Gramma Tala.
Our room was backwards-facing (AFT), so we actually had a pretty good view of the show from above! We also loved how the performers used the pool at Wayfinder Bay as part of the story — connecting it to the “ocean”.
Location: Wayfinder Bay
Show timing: Check the Navigator App

Other notable shows:
– Let’s Set Sail — A fun performance to kick off the cruise’s first sail with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and many more Disney characters.
– Duffy and the Friend Ship [NEW] — Duffy and friends explore the seas on an adventure and find out what friendship truly means.
– Baymax Super Exercise Expo — Sweat it out with Hiro and Baymax from Big Hero 6 in a musical exercise routine!
*Note: No recording on camera or phone is allowed for shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, like Remember and Disney Seas the Adventure —don’t spoil the magic for others!
Activities on the Disney Adventure Cruise
Most activities on the cruise are free, including the water slides, rides, live shows, arcade, and movies. But some require an extra cost; let’s break it down for you.
Free activities
Character Meet-and-Greets

Firstly, DON’T miss the Character Meet-and-Greets. Check your Navigator App once you board the ship (and daily), to see which characters are holding exclusive photo-taking sessions.
We interacted with characters like Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, and Goofy and loved every minute of it!

If you’re a huge Disney princess fan, look out for the Royal Gathering on the app, where you can spend a short time with three princesses.
On our cruise, it was Jasmine, Snow White and Ariel! But don’t worry if you didn’t manage to book a spot, you might chance upon roaming characters too.
Open House Tours

Then, there are the Open House Tours throughout the voyage for those curious about restricted areas — places that you’d usually need to pay to go into, or certain places with entry only allowed for specific guests.
We got a sneak peek into the various staterooms (even the grand Concierge room), the spa, and dedicated areas for the young, such as Andy’s Toybox, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, Edge, and Vibe.
Fitness Centre

Squeeze in a workout at the fitness centre with equipment like dumbbells, weight machines, sea-facing treadmills, bikes and rowers! The gym also provides cold towels and a sparkling water dispenser to cool you down.
Freebies

Lastly, don’t forget about the freebies! Get pixie dusted (sparkled with glitter) at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or win a medal at Trivia (happening all over the cruise at various timings).
Paid activities
Most of these paid activities can be booked via the Navigator Cruise app pre-sail, or via walk-ins (subject to availability).
Makeover Studios

For a more curated experience, here are some things which you’ll need to pay for.
Families with children aged 3 to 12 can glide on over to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a fairytale makeover. Kids can dress up as their favourite prince, princess or knight, all complete with hairstyling — with various packages starting from ~US$59.99.

Sadly, adults aren’t allowed to join in the fairytale makeover fun, but you can still pretend to be a superhero at the Marvel Style Studio, which is open to all ages. From US$69.99, transform into your favourite character with makeup and costumes (everything but the superpower).
At night, the Studio changes into an adult-only lounge with alcoholic beverage-tasting workshops (although details are still unknown yet when we were there).
Spa

If you need to wind down and relax, the Infinite Bliss Spa has packages for a facial, massage and even a mani-pedi (from US$59)!
There’s also the Rainforest experience (US$79 for day pass) — an area with experiential showers, heated loungers, an aromatherapy steam room and a dry sauna. It even has multiple whirlpool spas to soak in.
Karaoke

As a self-proclaimed karaoke queen, I was also elated to find out that you can rent private karaoke rooms (US$135 for 1.5hrs/room) on the cruise.
Alas, I’m broke so I settled for the free version, where people can just head up to the stage at D Lounge, and jam to Disney songs with other cruise-goers.
Shopping

I’d recommend three main souvenir stores on the Disney Adventure Cruise.
World of Disney sells cruise-themed exclusive items like shirts, cardigans, magnets, and pins.

On the other hand, World of Disney Too has a mix of popular Disney, Marvel and Pixar merch like Avengers action figures, Toy Story pens, and Disney Princesses pins. It even has Lion King blind box pins!

The third is Treasures Untold, themed after The Little Mermaid. We felt like we were walking through Ariel’s treasure trove with various thingamajigs!
The merch here is more localised and unique, with some featuring vibrant tropical designs, in collaboration with local artist Danielle Tay. We even found Peranakan Mickey ears and Cruise Line co-branded items like Pandora charms!

And just like how Ariel is a serial hoarder, I spent way too much money snapping up all the merch for my collection. So do exercise caution or you’ll end up with a ~US$500+ bill like me :’)
*Pro-tip: Keep all receipts, as there’s a refund policy where you can return merch while on the cruise if you change your mind. Check out our ultimate Disney cruise guide for more magical tips ✨

Other shops on the cruise include Castle Collection (a smaller shop which sells Disney caps and shoulder plushies), Duffy and Friends Shop (for people who love all things Duffy), and Diamonds and Wishes (for the jewellery lovers like Abu).
Dining Experiences
Rotational Dining

You’ll be automatically assigned to three out of six main dining restaurants on the Disney Cruise for dinner, on a rotational basis, via the Navigator App.
They are: Navigator’s Club/Hollywood Spotlight Club, Animator’s Palate/Animator’s Table, and Pixar Market Restaurant/Enchanted Summer Restaurant.
Basically, these restaurants offer similar cuisines and performances, but some can accommodate more people. Each meal consists of a small plate, an entree, and dessert. Here’s where we went and our top menu picks!

Navigator’s Club: Nautical-themed, even our napkins were maps of the sea!
My favourites were Burrata Mozzarella Cheese and Prosciutto, Miso-glazed Chilean Sea Bass, and Peppered Filet Mignon.
The burrata tasted especially creamy and paired well with the salty prosciutto. An interesting dessert we had was the Ube Creme Brulee, which had a strong yam flavour beneath the crystallised sugar layer.

Animator’s Palate: Having dinner while surrounded by early cartoon character sketches, film strips and animations? I felt like I was transported into the 2D world.
The dishes here were more Asian-inspired, like Korean Barbeque Beef Steamed Bao, Chicken Satay and even Hainanese Chicken Rice! Honestly, though, some were a hit or miss — the chicken satay was pretty true to taste, but the chicken rice lacked flavour.

Pixar Market Restaurant: Inside Out, Cars, Finding Nemo — we had a fun time spotting posters and character motifs while dining.
There was a mix of Western and Asian dishes with Pork and Shrimp Shumai, Porcini Sacchetti, and even Shiromaru ramen, which didn’t really have a strong broth taste. The White Chocolate Bread Pudding, though — topped with sweet butterscotch sauce and yummy vanilla ice cream — would’ve gotten two paws up from Remy!
And yes, if you’re feeling peckish, you can order another portion — free-of-charge. But do note not to waste food, only order what you can finish.

In addition, because it’s Disney, they just have to be that extra with entertaining live performances. Throughout our meal, Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and Donald appeared to interact with guests at Navigator’s Club.
And over at Animator’s Palate, we were provided with paper to draw a character, and watched in awe as our drawings came to life on the screens!
*Note: For the grown-ups, the restaurants sell cocktails and mocktails as well, at an additional cost.
Quick Service Food

Quick service food basically means “fast food”, or a meal you can easily grab while on the ship. And good news, they’re all included in your cruise fare!
Mowgli’s Eatery: Serves up Indian food like Tandoori Lamb Hariyali, Kerala Fish Curry, Papadum and Butter Chicken. Our verdict was that the food was pretty legit — the papadum was crispy, and the butter chicken had a strong spicy kick.
Gramma Tala’s Kitchen: Offering flavours of the Pacific and Asia like Hainanese Chicken, Sichuan Braised Tofu and Huli Huli BBQ Chicken. We didn’t have a chance to try the food, but the menu looked interesting enough!

Stitch’s Ohana Grill: Your typical American burger dining place, with a twist — burgers are named after the fluffy, adorable blue alien. There’s the Black and Blue Burger (angus beef with blue cheese), and the 626, which we tried (buttermilk-marinated spicy-fried chicken patty-based), as well as a Classic Cheeseburger. Stick to the classic.
Cosmic Kebabs: Build your own bowl of grilled kebabs, shawarma, vegetable shish, and char-grilled spiced sausage — this is a Muslim-friendly option for cruise-goers.

Pizza Planet: Barbeque Chicken, Four Cheese, Pepperoni, Margherita Pizza — this was a quick pick-me-up when we were starving. The pizza was decent, and hey, no complaints here since it was one of the few options for a late-night supper.
Wheezy’s Freezies: Free ice cream? YES. Choose from three flavours of vanilla, strawberry or a mix — we had the best of both worlds, and it was a creamy indulgence.
Lounges, Cafes and Bars

Check out the several lounges, cafes and bars on the ship, but take note that drinks come at an additional cost. Here are some notable places we visited.
Bewitching Boba and Brews: Disney Adventure Cruise is the only ship in the Disney cruise line that sells bubble tea, obviously, to fix our Asian bbt addiction.
On top of milk teas, there are yogurt smoothies, daily greens and super fruits. I’m a basic kind of gal, so I ordered the Mystic Tide Matcha (US$7.75), and it was pretty sweet! Boba toppings are an additional US$1.25, just FYI.

Spellbound: The Evil Queen has set up shop, offering “potions” (aka cocktails, mocktails, zero proof beverages) like Wicked Bite (US$20), Eternal Beauty Tea (US$6), and Mirror Mirror (US$12). You can even order the Poison Apple (US$70) and take home a specialty witch and apple mug!

Tiana’s Bayou Lounge: No frogs here! Just some speciality coffees, premium teas, and mocktails paired with live music. Princess and the Frog-inspired menu items include Orleans Crusta (US$13), Swamp Soda (US$6), and Beignets (US$2) from Mama Odie’s Kitchen.
There are also two sports bars — Taverna Portorosso and Buccaneer Bar — where you can sit back, grab a drink, and catch a live game while soaking in the ocean views.

*Pro-tip: Get coffee or hot chocolate with character designs from certain dining places such as Spellbound, Alleycat Cafe, Tiana’s Bayou Lounge, and Buccaneer Bar.

If you’re feeling fancy, there are premium dining eateries — Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, and Palo Trattoria.
The former has four dining options: a Japanese steakhouse, a Teppanyaki room, Omakase-style dining, and an outdoor sushi-sashimi experience. The latter is an adult-only restaurant which offers Northern Italian cuisine such as antipasti, pasta and pizzas.
Both restaurants require reservations, which can be booked via the Navigator App.
Accommodation
Disney Cruise Adventure offers various room options, from Inside (basic room) to Oceanview and Verandah Staterooms, and even Concierge Suites.
Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

During our four-night cruise, we stayed at the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (AFT). All rooms come with a theme inspired by Disney, Marvel or Pixar — and ours happened to be Spider-Man!
Our room had a comfy queen-sized bed, a large sofa bed, a bathroom and a verandah overlooking Wayfinder Bay and the sea. Honestly, the balcony was one of my favourite perks of the room, ’cause we could watch Moana: Call of the Sea without sweating under the hot sun!

Towels, shampoo, and body soap are provided, but you’ll need to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush.
We also often ordered breakfast and supper to our room, when we woke up or slept late. The food is FOC and options were good enough, with pastries and cereal for breakfast, and wonton soup and pasta for supper. You can also request desserts!
*Note: It’s been reported that Disney Adventure Cruise will be introducing a US$5 delivery charge for in-room dining orders, on top of an 18% gratuity fee starting 4 June 2026. The only exceptions are for Concierge Guests and breakfast card orders — do look out for the latest updates on the official website or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App during your sailing!
Concierge Suites and Staterooms

Not that I could ever afford it, but you might! Live up the suite life by opting for a Concierge Stateroom or Suite. Rooms are spacious and equipped with large beds, dressing tables, and some even have connecting rooms for bigger families.

We’re also talking royalty treatment such as priority boarding, exclusive access to a private lounge with refreshments, and an outdoor sundeck with whirlpool spas — plus your own dedicated team of Mr Moseby’s! Not to mention, you’ll have your very own open bar too.
Oh, and not forgetting two superior spa suites inspired by Mary Poppins and Zootopia — the Practically Perfect Spa Suite, and the Hopps Haven Spa Suite — where all your worries can melt away via massages and facials (at an extra cost).
So… is it worth going on the Disney Adventure Cruise as an adult Disney fan?

3,000% YES! For someone who grew up finding Hidden Mickeys, looking up to brave princesses, and wishing for a charming prince — this was pure Disney magic.
Some of my most memorable experiences were interacting with my favourite characters (Princess Jasmine, Aladdin, Stitch!), watching mini Broadway musicals to childhood tunes, and eating Mickey-shaped waffles and ice cream bars. I truly felt like a kid again, and honestly, there’s no shame in that.

I also loved the little details on the Disney Adventure Cruise, such as motifs of films on carpets, and beautiful murals of iconic characters alongside escalators!
So if you’re a huge Disney fan, you definitely won’t be disappointed, because… all our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them (or a wallet big enough to afford them).
For those who aren’t Disney fans, this cruise will still be a fun adventure with all the activities, attractions and live performances to catch. And who knows, you might even be a convert 😉

The cruise to nowhere currently offers three- and four-night sailings, starting at US$1,100 (~S$1,406) and US$1,412 (~S$1,804), respectively.
A little pricey I know, but hey, we all have adult money to spend now 😛
