We got a sneak peek at Scoot’s new Spider-Man themed plane on its first inaugural flight to Tokyo — here’s what it was like!
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Spider-Man? Yup, Scoot has officially partnered with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day in light of the upcoming movie coming to Singapore cinemas from 30 July 2026!
From 30 June to 13 September 2026, the friendly neighbourhood hero will take over two Scoot aircrafts (Airbus A321neo and Boeing 787 Dreamliner) — where travellers can immerse themselves fully in the superhero world.
We had the chance to attend the official unveiling event and even hopped on the inaugural flight to Tokyo (Haneda) on 30 June 2026. Here’s a glimpse of what this new flight will look like:
First look at the check-in installations, themed cabins, and exclusive merch
Check-in Installations
Even before hopping onto the plane, our Spider-Man: Brand New Day flight experience started from the check-in counter at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1. We saw posters of the beloved superhero at check-in kiosks, baggage drops, and snapped a photo of “Spider-Man” chilling near the Departure Hall!
There will also be an augmented reality interactive photobooth set up at the Arrival Hall, to capture memorable moments with Spidey too.
A sweet surprise we had though, was at the departure gate itself, where there was an announcement for “Peter Parker” right before boarding. And guess who walked out? The one and only, Tom Holland (we wish), Spider-Man — and yes of course, we took photos with him!
However, do note that this could only be a launch event character meet-and-greet, and may not be for all flights.
Themed Cabins and Experiences
The usual Scoot cabins have been transformed into the iconic red and blue Spidey theme, with specially designed headrest covers of Spider-Man’s mask and various decals of the web-slinging hero that hit us with a wave of nostalgia.
Not to mention, we were greeted by epic music from the upcoming movie soundtrack and our favourite part — a special welcome message from Peter Parker himself with his iconic line (hint: “With great power…”).
During the flight, Scootees will also hold fun activities that come with surprises! We were pretty lucky and managed to snag a limited edition Spider-Man squishy toy 😍. Experiences are available on select flights.
Exclusive Merch
Travellers will also receive exclusive merchandise as a gift with selected on-board purchases! For instance, you can score a mystery movie flight tag when you get a Hero’s Fuel (S$15) or Snack (S$8) combo.
The former includes choices like Ginger Teriyaki Chicken with Rice or Beef Goulash with Mashed Potato, etc., paired with a cold drink, while the latter consists of Pringles Original and a Coca-Cola.
If you spend S$50 on duty-free shopping, you can even receive a foldable eco bag! The gifts-with-purchase can be added while booking flights online (on the website or in the mobile app) and on board. Terms and conditions apply.
Where will the planes fly to?
After the inaugural flights to Tokyo (Haneda) on 30 June 2026 and Chiang Mai on 1 July 2026, the planes will fly to selected cities within Australia, China, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Some destinations include: Manila, Melbourne, Cebu, Haikou, Hangzhou, Sydney, Osaka, Nanjing, Perth, and Hong Kong.
As a bonus, you might even find yourself on the themed aircraft even if you didn’t specifically book a flight on any of these routes! It’s all part of regular Scoot airline operations, so fingers crossed 🤞
How to book a date flight with Spider-Man?
Don’t worry, these special fights will be labelled on Scoot’s website, mobile app (Android/iOS) and WeChat Mini Program for booking.
