Faith, trust, and pixie dusting? Here are some insider tips to know before you hop on the new Disney Adventure Cruise Singapore!

All hands on deck! The wait is finally over for all you anxious Disney fans as the new Disney Adventure Cruise is debuting on its maiden voyage from Singapore on 10 March 2026 🛳️
We’ve previously shared a Disney cruise guide on the prices, themed areas, and what to expect before its arrival, but now… this is the real deal. After experiencing the preview sailing (5 to 9 March 2026), we’ve picked up some useful tips to make your experience a truly ✨magical✨ one.
So, listen well, all of you — here are 15 must-know tips before hopping on the biggest Disney event of the year 👇
1) Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App

The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App is basically your “Fairy Godmother” at sea. It helps you check in online (at least 3 days in advance), manage your reservations, view your plans for the day and lets you know your pre-assigned dining restaurants and shows.
This is also where you’ll fill out personal details and health declaration forms needed before you board.
We encourage you to check your app regularly throughout the cruise, as it’ll be updated with daily activities onboard!
2) Pre-book activities early

Download the Navigator App as early as 75 days before your sailing date, since some paid activities can be booked in advance before boarding.

These include Disney princess and Marvel superhero makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (ages 3 to 12) and Marvel Style Studio (all ages).
Adults can also make reservations for spa treatments, and paid dining areas (like Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia) to secure spots.
*Note: Pre-booked experiences are an additional cost separate from your cruise fare.
3) Arrive at the port during your designated timing

After checking-in online for the Disney Adventure, you’ll be assigned a Port Arrival Time.
We recommend arriving during the designated timing, or at most 15 to 20 minutes earlier. Don’t go too early as you may end up waiting for quite a while outside the terminal before your time slot!
4) Book activities as soon as you board

To book a cruise experience at the time slot you want, visit the Navigator App once you board the vessel. The app can be used with the free WiFi onboard (DCL-GUEST).
Some activities include character meet and greets, rides (Iron Cycle Test Run, Pym Quantum Racers and Groot Galaxy Spin), and karaoke rooms (US$135 for 1.5hrs/room, ~S$172)! We snagged photo sessions with OG characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Stitch, and loved all the cute interactions.

But don’t worry if you didn’t manage to get a slot!
Other characters will also be roaming around throughout the cruise. We found Jasmine, Rapunzel, and even Aladdin just walking about! Check the Navigator app for live updates too, as there may be times where reservations aren’t required for certain activities.
*Pro-tip: Plan out your itinerary for the whole voyage on the first day, and reserve activities while you can. Some of them may be fully booked out early.

Oh and just a side note, the free WiFi only works for the app. For those want to stay connected with family and friends, or post IG stories of all the fun you’re having at sea, you’ll need to purchase an internet package.
| Plan | Cost |
| Internet | From US$26/day (~S$33) |
| Internet + Streaming (incl. Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu and more) | From US$42/day (~S$54) |
Prices also vary depending on the number of devices, ranging from US$88 to US$299 (~S$112 to ~S$381) — up to four devices. Do check the app for more info once you’re onboard.
5) Essential things to bring

Here are some essential items to have in your packing list:
– Passport: Make sure you have at least 6 months validity for your passport!
– Lanyard: To attach to your Key to the World Card — which acts as your room key and payment card (you don’t want to lose it!)
– Water bottle: There are refreshment stations on Deck 10 and 17, with fruit juices, soft drinks, and cold water to keep you hydrated throughout the day
– Seasick pills: No matter how strong your tolerance is for seasickness, it’s always better to be prepared!
– Jacket: To keep warm, as most of the areas will be air-conditioned and it can get cold on the top deck at night.
– Non-surge power plug: Extension cords are not allowed, so do bring a non-surge power plug if you’re travelling with friends.
*Pro-tip: Put all your electronics in an easy-to-access hand carry bag, as security may ask you to take them out for immigration checks.
6) Take note of the mandatory gratuity

Our stateroom host, Gede, made us an elephant towel!
A gratuity is a sum of money given to the workers on the cruise, such as your stateroom host and dining team, for their excellent service! Gratuities start from around US$16 (~S$20) per night, per guest, but the amount may differ for different types of staterooms and service provided.
You’ll only know the final amount and breakdown at the end of your cruise, which will be charged to your card.

There’s also an auto-gratuity of 18% for non-complimentary food and beverages in paid restaurants, or for drinks (like alcohol) in certain restaurants, lounges and bars.
Of course, have some cash in hand as tips are always welcome (SGD or USD are both okay)!
*Note: You’ll need to link a credit or debit card to your Key to the World Card during online check-in before sailing. All payments on the cruise will be in USD. You can then choose to pay for items or services on the cruise directly with your credit/debit card, or ask them to charge to your room card and pay it all at the end (with the gratuities).
7) Look out for complimentary gifts and experiences

Did you know that there are a couple of free things you can get on the cruise?
– Bracelet and charm: Get a new charm every day at Diamonds and Wishes. On our cruise, we got a ship, bear, train and a flower! Check the app for when charms will be given out. [Currently this is only available for Concierge Guests]
– Assorted badges: Grab one from Guest Services if you’re celebrating a special occasion like birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and even “losing a tooth” 😛

– Souvenirs: Some events on the cruise might give out something for you to bring back home. We got a cute bookmark at the Once Upon a Time event at Town Square, and you’ll also get a medallion if you win at trivia games.
– Pixie dust: Head to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get pixie-dusted (glittering sparkles) from Fairy Godmother, and may all your wishes come true~
– Room service: Get breakfast, lunch, or supper delivered to you 24/7! Call room service to check the menu, but as a gauge, we had bolognese pasta, wonton noodles, and even cheesecake.
*Note: It’s been reported that Disney Adventure Cruise will be introducing a US$5 delivery charge for in-room dining orders, on top of an 18% gratuity fee starting 4 June 2026. The only exceptions are for Concierge Guests and breakfast card orders — do look out for the latest updates on the official website or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App during your sailing!
8) Decorate your cabin door and try pixie dusting

Not just for self-expression, but also a cute way to brighten up your stateroom door (and make it easier to find your room). We went all out and bought personalised name magnets, fairy lights, and even printed out Tangled decor because we love Flynn Rapunzel so much!

We also joined a fun tradition on Disney Cruises called pixie-dusting! Sadly, it does not involve actual pixie dust, but the magic is still there.
Passengers will secretly drop off small gifts for other cruise goers in “fish extenders” (aka pocket organisers/bags) outside stateroom doors to spread the Disney love with fellow fans!
It was loads of fun to play Tinkerbell to other passengers 🧚, gifting them Disney-themed snacks and stickers. In return, we also received things like sweets, toys and stickers for keepsakes.
9) Sit at the aisle seats for the best show experience

You’ll be assigned Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre during your cruise, so don’t worry about missing anything. But do arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to grab a good viewing spot!
From our experience, the best spots are the aisle seats in the front half of the theatre, as characters will be walking around during certain musical numbers (no spoilers)!
Also, bring some tissues if you’re a hardcore Disney fan, because we were bawling our eyes out during the shows 😭
10) Bring some Disney pins for pin-trading

A Disney tradition that’s tale as old as time: pin-trading! This is something that’s always been done in Disneylands around the world, and yes, it’s also on the high seas.
Trade your Disney pins for different designs at the World of Disney and World of Disney Too stores. But if you’ve forgotten to bring yours, don’t sweat it. You can always buy new pins and swap them for something else that catches your eye.

We found an affordable blind box that comes with two pins at only US$11.99 (~S$15) , and while some of us got what we wanted, the rest of us decided to trade for something we loved more 😉
11) Check out the character design coffees

It’s not explicitly stated on the menu, but there are a few places on the cruise to get character design coffees (from US$2.50, ~S$3.20). Some of them are Tiana’s Bayou Lounge, Spellbound, Alley Cat Cafe, and Buccaneer Bar.
Designs range from Mickey and friends, to most of the Disney princesses!
We got our drinks at Spellbound with designs like Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle and Jasmine. If you’re not a coffee fan, they can print the art on hot chocolate (US$3.25, ~S$4) too.
12) Keep your souvenir receipts

Changed your mind when shopping for souvenirs, because you found something better? Keep all your shopping receipts, so you can refund items anytime while on the cruise — no questions asked.
Honestly, I was super grateful for this because I kept finding more unique things to buy on the cruise (yet I was on the verge of going broke if I ended up buying everything) 😭
13) Stay hungry because the food is free-flow

There will be no shortage of food when you’re on the Disney Adventure. Buffets are free-flow, and you can also order as many dishes you want at the serviced restaurants, too — without any extra charges.

Our main server kept reminding us that we could have more food, and to try the different dishes on the menu. But of course, order in moderation as we discourage food wastage.
We’re sure all the activities and the gym will help you burn those calories, if that’s what you’re worried about 😉
14) Dress up for the cruise

Have fun and dress up in your best Disney-inspired fit — after all, you’re living in a fairytale on the high seas! Can you guess who our inspiration was for this one?
It makes the experience all the more magical, especially during special themed events or when meeting your favourite characters!
*Note: For adults, refrain from dressing up in realistic character costumes (mascots), so people won’t mistake you for a cast member.
15) Ask the crew for pictures… or bring your own tripod

While the cruise does sell photo packages from official photographers, they can get expensive (from ~US$153.95/digital package of 10 photos, ~S$196).
So don’t be shy to ask crew members to help you take pictures — especially during meet and greets. We also recommend bringing your own tripod, for convenience’s sake!
