When I was planning my trip to Tokyo Disney Resort (the collective name for Disneyland and DisneySea), I considered booking a Disney hotel. Who wouldn’t want to stay in one?
… People on a budget, apparently 😆
I was humbled when I saw how expensive Tokyo Disney hotels were, where prices can go up to four digits per night.
So I scoured the web for nearby hotels instead. While I wouldn’t be able to meet Chef Mickey at the breakfast buffet, most of them have equally interesting amenities!
That brings me to this list of hotels near Tokyo Disney Resort. For two pax, these hotels are ~S$131/night on average vs ~S$240/night at Tokyo Disneyland Celebration Hotel (the cheapest official Disney accommodation).
1) Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay (From ~S$122/night, with free shuttle)

It’s also directly linked to the Shin-Urayasu Station so getting to the hotel via train is easy. Pair that with the free shuttle service to the Resort, so it’s super convenient to get around from here.

Tokyo Disney Resort Trip Essentials
If it’s your first time visiting the Tokyo Disney parks, here are some things to consider before heading there:
1) Pre-book your Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea tickets: Book your tickets online in advance so you won’t have to line up during the actual day. Lining up for tickets = less time for the rides.
*Pro-tip: Check the calendar on the official website for peak periods, so you’ll know which days to avoid.
2) Download the Tokyo Disney Resort app: Don’t go in blind! The app allows you to check queue times, book dining reservations, and secure entry requests for shows.
3) Make a plan but be flexible: Both Tokyo Disney parks have a reputation for long queues. So you have to be strategic about the rides and attractions you want to prioritise, and the order to visit them.
We recommend going to the park 1 hour before opening, and lining up for the popular rides first!
