For theme park enthusiasts, a trip to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea is a must when visiting Japan!

Tokyo Disneyland is where you’ll find Disney’s iconic castle, as well as themed areas inspired by beloved characters. For instance, it recently opened Fantasy Springs on 6 June 2024, featuring Rapunzel’s Forest, Peter Pan’s Never Land and the Kingdom of Arendelle in Frozen ❄️

DisneySea - Getting to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea

Tokyo DisneySea is a one-of-a-kind theme park, exclusive to Japan. You won’t find a DisneySea at other Disney Parks around the world! It has a sea-themed design with a Mermaid Lagoon, plus more adventurous rides like Indiana Jones Adventure and Tower of Terror.

Both theme parks are located at Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture. If it’s your first time visiting, here’s how to get there via various transport methods:

From Narita Airport

Airport Limousine Bus - Getting to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea

You can head straight from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disney Resort, and stay a night or two to maximise your time at the theme parks.

Train: Take the high-speed JR Narita Express (from ~S$27 via Klook) to Tokyo Station. From there, transfer to the JR Keiyo or Musashino Line and then it’s a 15-minute train ride to Maihama Station. Either walk to Tokyo Disneyland (~7mins) or take the Disney Resort Line (monorail) and drop off at Tokyo DisneySea Station.

Bus: There are limousine buses from all terminals of Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. The journey lasts around an hour and 15 minutes but could take longer depending on traffic. Book your seats in advance to secure the timing you want as there are multiple time slots.

Private transfer: Book a car charter from the airport and travel for around an hour to Tokyo Disney Resort. This is a fuss-free option for large groups so you won’t have to drag your luggage everywhere. Prices start from ~S$123 for an Economy 4-seater if you book via Klook!

From Tokyo City

Tokyo Disney Line to Dinseysea - Tokyo Disneyland Guide

This is for those heading to the theme parks on a day trip from Tokyo city.

Train: No matter which station you’re coming from (e.g. Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro), you need to travel to Tokyo Station first. Then, it’s a 15-minute ride to Maihama Station via the JR Keiyo Line or Musashino Line. From there, walk around 7 minutes to Tokyo Disneyland or transfer to Tokyo DisneySea Station via the Disney Resort Line (monorail).

Bus: Alternatively, you can take a shuttle bus from Shinjuku Station to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. It only costs ~S$13/pax for a one-way ticket. Be sure to arrive at the pickup point at least 10 minutes in advance as the bus will leave on time.

Private transfer: For a more convenient option, get a private transfer via Klook (from ~S$114 for a 7-seater). The driver will pick you up directly from your hotel and then drive you to Tokyo Disneyland.
