Vast wine valleys, beautiful flower fields and iconic Hobbit houses — nope, this isn’t New Zealand, but Khao Yai💖
Khao Yai is a charming town in Thailand only a 3-hour drive away from Bangkok. But perhaps the real charm is it’s air-con weather (certain periods of the year)! Temperatures average around mid-20°C in the day, and 10°C at night between November to February. This makes it perfect for glamping (AKA camping in a tent luxuriously) while surrounded by mountain views!
Read on for our top accommodation picks to make your glamping experience in Khao Yai one you’ll never forget.
*Note: The listing is ranked by the best value for money in terms of location and facilities offered!

Hidden among the lush grasslands on the outskirts of Khao Yai National Park, Lala Mukha Tented Resort is an eco-friendly accommodation that feels like you’re on an African safari (without the lions) 🦁 Psst, you can spot wild birds here like the Oriental Pied Hornbill during the hot seasons of March and April!
Fun fact: The staff are also trained and knowledgeable in teaching tourists how to care for, and conserve the environment without disturbing the natural landscape.

Other facilities here include an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the lake and limestone mountains, as well as an amphitheatre where you can relax around a bonfire or go star-gazing.

Glamp with style — either in a traditional tent or futuristic dome at Glamping Hill Khaoyai!
The tents are pretty simple, with a bed and lounge chairs provided. So I’d personally recommend trying out the domes instead. There are three types to choose from: Dome Garden, Geodesic Dome and Dome Family. All come with a private bathroom (unlike the tents 🙊) and you’ll get a pretty sweet view of your surroundings.

The Dome Garden is a small standard room with two single beds, the Geodesic Dome is slightly larger with a double bed and TV, while the Dome Family is the biggest — it can fit two king-sized beds and you’ll even have your own living room and kitchen!

The rooms at Piromrat Khaoyai are a blend between a tent and a rustic cabin in the woods — making it a little different from your usual glamping experience! Choose between a garden view or lake view — the latter has an outdoor wooden bathtub overlooking the forest 🙈

Piromat Valley is quite secluded so there aren’t many attractions in the area, but here are some within a 30-minute drive: Khao Yai National Park, Villa Musée, Khao Yai Art Museum and Khao Yai Speedkart.
