P.S. Find out how you can get up to 10,000 GrabRewards points in GrabPay’s mega giveaway from now till 1 Jan 2022
Lucky beachgoers at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach were treated to a spectacular drone display on Thursday, 23 December. Hundreds of drones appeared in the night sky, putting up a dazzling light show.
The impressive drone show was organised by Grab as a celebratory gesture to thank its users for 2021 and to ring in the new year ahead.
The not-your-usual festive light show lasted for about 15 minutes, illuminating Sentosa’s skies with colourful firework-like sparkles. 500 synchronised drones formed some pretty cool Christmassy images and New Year greetings.
Some of the formations included:
Christmas tree, Christmas stocking, and candy canes:
Coinbox:
GrabPay’s #GetToThePoints formation:
Mystery gift box:
“Happy Holidays” greeting:

GrabRewards Points in the Sky
A scannable QR code hovered above Palawan Beach at Sentosa on 23 Dec 2021.
The highlight of the show was when the drones took the formation of a larger-than-life QR code. The gigantic hovering QR code was scannable, which blew our minds quite a bit. I mean, have you scanned a floating QR code? It was probably scannable miles away too, given just how huge and visible it was.
Scanning the mega QR code in the sky leads to the Grab app, which then randomly rewards users with GrabRewards points — the highest being 10,000 points!
We also tried scanning the QR code and received 100 and 1,000 points respectively!

Note: We recommend scanning the code with your native QR code scanner or app.
