Tips to make the most of your Bandung trip
1) Getting around Bandung
Getting around Bandung is easy with ride-hailing options like Grab or Bluebird.
However, if you want to visit popular attractions like White Crater and Orchid Forest, it’s worth considering a private charter for added convenience. We booked one through Klook for ~S$74/car that can fit up to four pax and it really was hassle-free when getting around!
2) Be prepared for the cold weather
Bandung’s weather can be quite cool, especially in mountainous areas like Lembang, where temperatures can drop to as low as 12°C — particularly in the mornings and evenings.
A light jacket or sweater will come in handy for those planning to glamp in the forest or visit volcanic mountains like Tangkuban Perahu and White Crater.
3) Plan your accommodations around attractions in Bandung
There’s plenty to do, but some attractions can be a 2-hour drive apart. So it’s a good idea to plan your Bandung itinerary in advance and choose the best accommodations that suit your plans.
I recommend setting aside at least one day for the south, central, and north of Bandung. Check out our Bandung guide for the must-visit spots on your first trip!
