30) Industrial Relics and Wartime Secrets Tour — An urbex adventure by Hidden Heritage SG

Imagine stepping into a world where history and mystery intertwine right in the heart of Singapore. Hidden Heritage Tours, a collaboration between Abandoned Singapore and supernaturalconfessions, is offering urban exploration tours that take you off the beaten path and deep into the forgotten corners of the island.
Led by urbex (urban exploration) enthusiast couple, Stanley and Amanda Cheah, this tour invites you into the eerily enthralling remains of an abandoned Shell lubrication plant.
Fun fact: The lubrication plant is also where Stanley and Amanda tied the knot! (we did say they are urbex enthusiasts)

With silent corridors, rusty machinery and towering storage tanks around every corner, you’ll uncover hidden stories with a thrilling twist as you wander through this industrial ghost town. What’s more, it also makes the perfect backdrop for a moody ‘abandoned aesthetic’ photoshoot! You’ll have plenty of time to capture the perfect shots amidst the haunting beauty of decay!

That’s not all, you’ll also get to visit the long-forgotten View Road Mental Hospital and descend into an underground WWII air raid shelter with a surprising history beneath its unassuming exterior.

Like peeling back the layers of time, stepping into these derelict spaces felt as if we were rediscovering a long-lost chapter of Singapore’s history, concealed from the modern world.
Hidden Heritage runs these exclusive tours on select weekends, and with the looming threat of land development erasing these places forever, there’s an urgency to discover them while you still can. So, if you’re craving an adventure into Singapore’s forgotten past, message them on Instagram @hiddenheritagesg or Facebook at Hidden Heritage Tours to book your tour slot. You don’t want to miss this chance to uncover Singapore’s forgotten treasures!

31) Pagoda Odyssey 1915: From Shanghai to San Francisco — at ACM till June 2025

Imagine 84 intricate, hand-carved pagoda models, each a miniature masterpiece, reunited after over a century. These exquisite replicas, once showcased at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, are now making a historic return at Singapore’s Asian Civilisations Museum.

The story behind the pagoda models showcased is a remarkable one. The intricately hand-carved 1:50 scale models are works of young artists from the Tushawan Orphanage in Shanghai. The models are mostly based on real pagoda structures across China, detailing the diversity of iconic pagodas from different regions and historical periods. And after more than a hundred years, these pieces are reunited after being acquired by the Asian Civilisations Museum.
