Pro-tips for the best deals with the SingapoRediscover Vouchers

Planning for SingapoRediscovers

1) Choose hotels, attractions, and tours which are already discounted

You can book SRV activities from many different websites, so it’s wise to find the best-valued package before you book.

For example, dinner and a night’s stay at The Warehouse Hotel would cost ~S$601.5. However, if you book through Klook, their exclusive package costs only ~S$385/night (before SRV). That’s over S$200 in savings — even more than the SRV itself!

Also look out for perks that offer even bigger savings. For example, you’ll receive a S$50 hotel rebate voucher when you spend at least S$50 SRV on Klook hotels!

P.S.: Look out for more exciting activities exclusive to Klook!

2) Purchase subsidised child/youth tickets before fully redeeming your SRV

If you have family members under 18, you can redeem $10 for up to six child/youth tickets! But take note — you’ll only be able to redeem the subsidy if you have at least $10 left in your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers balance.

So remember to purchase those tickets before clearing out your own account!

3) Don’t waste unused value from your SRV

Any unused value from your SRV won’t be refunded.

So, if you pay for a $12 booking with $20 (2 x $10) vouchers, the remaining $8 will be forfeited. A smarter option: Use just one S$10 voucher and top up the remaining S$2. Save the rest of your SRV for something else!

4) Don’t rush to redeem your vouchers

Yes, we’re all super excited to explore. However, there’s no rush to redeem your SRV this year, since they only expire in Dec 2021! (updated 30 April)

Most people will be booking activities in December (because it’s school holidays, and also cause kanchiong). Since it’s peak season, hotel rates are bound to be more expensive too.

To save money, spend your SRV in 2021! Look out for weekday and off-peak deals for extra savings.

And of course, visiting during off-peak periods is a safer option too. Always remember to social distance and avoid crowding as much as possible!

FAQs about the SingapoRediscovers vouchers

1) Who is eligible for the vouchers?

All Singapore Citizens aged 18 and above in 2020 will receive the vouchers.
Adults can also buy up to six child/youth subsidised tickets for family members under 18.

2) When can I use the vouchers?

Staycations valid for SRV vouchers

The vouchers can be redeemed anytime between 1 Dec 2020 to 1 Dec 2021.
So no need to panic if your dream hotel is fully booked! On Klook, look out for the red banner over each activity to confirm the eligibility of the SingapoRediscover Vouchers.

3) Can I use the vouchers for dining experiences?

Yes and no. While the vouchers are not eligible for F&B, some of the STB-approved packages include dining credits.

For example the Andaz staycation package includes $100 dining credits, and this Grand Hyatt package includes breakfast and lunch, as well as $50 spa credits!

However, you can help others sign up for SingPass, and assist them through the online redemption process.

No. The vouchers cannot be combined with anyone else’s to buy the same product. Both of you need to purchase separately!

Maximise your S$100 SingapoRediscovers voucher

And there you have it! Share these tips with your loved ones, and help them redeem their SRV. As you now know, it’s easy peasy.

The vouchers are valid all the way till 31 Dec 2021 so start planning your adventures! On Klook, you can find 100 hotels (out of the 178 STB-approved hotels), 39 attractions, and more than 70 unique tours that are eligible for the SingapoRediscovers vouchers.

And of course, don’t forget why we’re getting these vouchers in the first place. It’s been an exceptionally rough year for our tourist businesses, and they really need our support.

So instead of blowing all your SRV on one experience, take the chance to try many things — from hotels to unique attractions and tours. This way, you can support multiple local businesses, while also having lots of fun.

Here’s to rediscovering Singapore!
