Captured with Pro mode on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G — ISO 80, 1/4000

Being stuck in Singapore most of 2020, one thing I realised is that we’ve truly taken our own home for granted.

This weekend, I challenged myself to find new experiences or new perspectives to familiar sights. Interestingly, I also noticed many similarities between the experiences I love overseas and in Singapore. While it definitely can’t replace travelling, this fun 2D1N Singapore itinerary is perhaps what we all need to shake up that restless travel bug. Ready?

Singapore Itinerary – Day 1

Start the day in the company of adorable pets

Captured with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5GISO 40, 1/184

I love adding a pet cafe or two into my Tokyo or Bangkok itinerary — you can’t help but feel like your day is made when a furry one choose you of all people to sit next to.

Captured with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5GISO 40, 1/476

If you’re looking for somewhere chill in Singapore, The Cat Cafe is perfect for a quiet afternoon. Home to 15 rescued felines, the cats mostly sleep or chill out in their corners. You’re free to pet and sit by them, but otherwise, they respect your personal space

If you love dogs and care less about personal space, check out We are The Furballs. You’ll be showered with love from their 10 adorable resident dogs the second you arrive.

The pups can do basic tricks and are very food motivated. Just be sure to ration your bag of treats (S$3/bag)!

The best part about holidays is being able to shop with no guilt — you’re on vacation, you can splurge!

If you’re looking for affordable clothes, Bugis Street probably has the widest selection at the most affordable prices. The mall is like a maze, but that’s what makes it fun. Kinda reminds me of shopping in Hong Kong’s Argyle Centre or Bangkok’s Platinum Mall.

Samsung’s All-new Galaxy S20 FE 5G: All you want, to do all you love

Rainbow Spiral Staircases - Singapore Itinerary

Captured with the Zoom function on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G — ISO 25, 1/1139

We want our best moments captured well when on holiday, even if we’re tourists in our own country. Years after this pandemic, it’d be nice to remember how we made the most of the situation.

When travelling, I’m always tempted to only bring my phone — without the extra bulk of my DSLR. But later on regret because there’s only so much you can edit on phone-camera-photos. That’s until we got our hands on the lastest Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G — it’s everything you want in a travel phone.

The battery is long-lasting with 4,500mAh, comes in trendy colours and most importantly, the camera far exceeds what my current phone does.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G’s pro-grade triple-lens camera has functions suited for every occasion. With the touch of a button, zoom in on beautiful moments, or when in tight spaces, zoom out wide to capture more of your surroundings. The best part? You don’t have to be afraid of the dark — you’ll be capturing moments even in ultra-low light.

What’s more, with the Single Take function, the phone does all the work for you! With 10 seconds of footage, it automatically picks the best shots, giving you a mini gallery of filtered photos, a looped video and a sped-up clip with music — perfect for an Instagram story!

The Cat Cafe - Singapore Itinerary

Another nifty feature is the phone’s 4K video shooting — from vast landscapes to close-up shots of food, every moment is worth capturing in high resolution. You’ll love replaying your favourite moments on the phone’s 6.5” Infinity-O display with 120Hz refresh rate too!

Photographers especially will enjoy having more control with the ‘Pro’ function. You can tweak the ISO, shutter speed and aperture to get the photo that you want. On top of that, you can save your photos in RAW to retain more detail for editing later.
