The Hard Rock Experience
While we only had a night at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, we felt like superstars even after leaving the place. Everything from the check-in process to the elaborate decor screamed rockstar treatment.
A common sight in all Hard Rock hotels is a wall full of electric guitars. But apart from its guitars, the branding is so ubiquitous and unique to Hard Rock hotels you can almost feel like you’re playing the role of a rockstar throughout your stay.
Fun fact: Instead of “signature”, all forms from the Hard Rock hotel says “autograph”.
*Pro-tip: Have one of the guitars sent to your room together with an amplifier, headphones, and foot pedal! Just pick from the wall, leave a refundable deposit of ฿10,000, and jam away.
Rooms
After spending an entire day at the Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark, we were more than relieved to return to our rockstar abode.
*Pro-tip: Check the schedule and hop on the complimentary buses if you’re heading to Cartoon Network Amazone for the day!
From the room, you can spot the beach just steps away from the hotel.
Toilets too were super spacious. There wasn’t a bathtub but we were quite happy with the rain showers too.
Food
Breakfast at the King’s Club lounge

An international spread of breakfast is served at the Starz Diner on the first floor but if you’re booked into one of the Rock Royalty rooms, you can have your meals at the King’s Club lounge on the top floor. Order from a menu of items ranging from English breakfast to Japanese miso sets.
Lunch at Pizzaria
Strategically located right next to the pool, we settled at the Pizzeria for lunch after an intense session of Muay Thai lessons.

Live band at the Hard Rock Cafe
No Hard Rock experience is complete without a visit to the Hard Rock Cafe. Wind down the night while enjoying indie jams and classic rock tunes by the resident band.
Activities
The best thing about Hard Rock Hotels that you’re never bored. There are endless activities right in its compounds and unlimited places to hang out whether it’s for the kids or the adults who need to wind down with an ice-cold beer.

If you’re in an ultra holiday mood and are lazy to walk to the beach (although it’s only 5 minutes away), there’s one right by the pool, complete with slides, floats for rent, and cabanas you can reserve just for yourself.
There are also mini rock walls to climb, a Little Rock Club for the kids, and for those into some real exercise, definitely drop by the Muay Thai club.
In fact the resident instructor Kwanthai Sithmorseng was a former WBA world champion of the minimum weight category. We had tons of fun learning the fundamentals, getting into a friendly sparring session and finishing off with a good PT workout.
Classes are ฿600 an hour for the open class and ฿1,200 for a private one on one lesson.
One of the most well known events around here is the foam party that happens by the pool every Saturday from 9:30pm–1am. The public pays ฿380 for entry but in-house guests can enter for ฿200.

Pattaya Nightlife
If you’re interested in seeing Pattaya’s “famous” nightlife, the Pattaya Walking Street is just a 10-15 minute walk away. From nightclubs, go-go bars, to both local and international restaurants, there’s a wide variety of entertainment options to keep you busy.
Conclusion
For a night in Pattaya, we couldn’t have better spent it than at the Hard Rock Hotel. If not for our tight internship schedule, I’m pretty sure we could easily spend an entire day in the hotel and not feel bored at all. Food was really good, the rooms were clean and spacious (even the regular deluxe rooms) and the service staff all made us feel right at home.
