Your guide to having a fun-filled Christmas at Changi Airport!

We can’t fly off this December, but spending the festive season in Singapore isn’t so bad. Besides the usual Christmas Wonderland and Orchard Road light-up, there’s also the new Changi Festive Village!

The festivities officially began on 20th November, but three new areas have just launched — Dino Fest, Dino Bounce, and Dino Kart.

There’s also dreamy glamping in the clouds, quirky photo spots, and a -10°C snow house!

So read on for 10 exciting things to check out at the new Changi Festive Village:

Exciting Activities at the Changi Festive Village 

1) Dino Kart

Dino Kart is designed like a vaporwave fever dream, with neon lights, colourful dinos, and atmospheric fog.

While kids can go for the Novice Circuit (8km/h), the Pro Circuit is definitely more thrilling. The electric go-karts speed up to 24km/h, which feels much faster than you might think!

With sharp twists and a multi-coloured light tunnel, this is one of the most exciting activities at Changi Festive Village.

Entrance fee: From S$8 for the Novice Circuit and from S$10 for the Pro Circuit
Opening hours: 3PM – 10PM (Mon – Wed), 2PM – 11PM (Thu – Sun, eves of PHs, and PHs). Open from 26 Nov – 31 Dec 2020 (Booking required)

Pro-tip: Choose an after-sunset session for a unique night-karting experience!

2) Dino Bounce

Bouncy castles aren’t just for kids! The new Dino Bounce is great fun for adults as well, with a huge 30m-long play space.

There are two sections: Dino Bounce Land, and Dino Bounce Sea. The former has a 4m-tall slide (surprisingly fast!) and a super-cute tree maze. At Dino Sea, bounce along the bouncy wave wall — just watch out for the giant T-Rex!

3) tokidoki Snow Holiday

Desperately need a break from the Singapore heat? At tokidoki Snow Holiday, the temperature dips to a freezing -10°C.

This double-storey fun house has a 12m snow luge — even longer than the one at Snow City! There are also Christmas and tokidoki-themed photo spots.

With festive music, disco lights, and even a magical ‘snowfall’, you can’t help but get into the Christmas spirit!

4) Dino Fest

The new Dino Fest is a sprawling carnival filled with fun things to do! There are three areas — Dino Score (an activity area), Dino Shop (a creative market), and Dino Dine (more details below).

At Dino Score, have a go at craft workshops, where you can paint totes or model dinosaurs.

Or head into the arcade for play old-school games like PONG, DDR, and MarioKart!

Shopaholics, head to Dino Shop, with lots of crafts and cool products by local creatives.

5) Behind-the-scenes with A Night at the Airport

Bond with the little ones and learn something new with A Night at the Airport! This isn’t your usual staycation. At this 2D1N camp, go behind the scenes at the Changi Experience Studio, with interactive, immersive exhibits.

There’s also a festive craft workshop to create festive ornaments you can decorate your home with!

At night, rest up in tents within the studio, surrounded by stunning digital projections.

6) Glampicnic in the clouds

Jewel Changi Airport’s Glampcations are fully booked, but you can still experience their magical glamping tents!

These luxurious, Insta-worthy tents are set up at Cloud9 Piazza, with a great view of the HSBC Rain Vortex. The area’s gorgeous ficus trees are adorned with fairy lights, perfect for the festive season.

Bring (up to four) friends and enjoy an al-fresco picnic in style!

7) Dino Dine at Dino Fest

8) Dino Wanderland

Climb aboard Santa’s sleigh for a fantastic festive photo!

Changi Airport always impresses with its gigantic Christmas exhibits. This year’s centrepiece is the Dino Wanderland, featuring a fierce T-rex and other prehistoric creatures — dressed in festive gear no less!

Cost: S$5, or 1 complimentary photo taking pass with a minimum spend of S$30
Opening hours: 3PM – 9PM (Mon – Fri), 11AM – 9PM (Sat – Sun, PHs). Open from 30 Nov 2020 – 3 Jan 2021

9) Air tokidoki

Miss flying? Get on board the Air tokidoki! It’s a surprisingly realistic flight mock-up, with an animated aisle window that mimics flight take-off! The seats are also authentic, straight from a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

10) Sparkling Christmas at Shiseido Forest Valley

Jewel Changi Airport has transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with a sparkling 16m-tall Christmas tree and glittering fairy lights.

Explore Santa’s workshop and dance around in the magical snowfall!

Entrance fee: S$30 minimum spend to redeem entry for two pax
Opening hours: 6PM – 11PM (last entry at 10:30PM), from 19 Nov 2020 – 3 Jan 2021. Snowfall takes place every hour

How to get to the Changi Festive Village

The Changi Festive Village is spread across T3, T4, and Jewel Changi Airport.

To get to T3, take the East West Line to Tanah Merah MRT Station, then transfer to Changi Airport MRT Station. Alternatively, take the Downtown Line to Expo MRT Station , then transfer to Changi Airport MRT Station.

To get to T4, head to the airport shuttle pick-up point at the T3 Departure Hall, Level 2, Door 8.

To get to Jewel Changi Airport, enter through the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1, Level 1. Alternatively, it’s a ~10-minute walk from the Departure Hall of Terminal 3 (near Crowne Plaza) via the link bridge, or from from Terminal 2 via the link bridge at Level 3 (near the MRT station).
